The four owners of the first two bedroomed apartments approached us with the idea of collectively building on the flat roof of their two storey block of flats. The flats sit in the 11 acres of Slade Gardens, an area cleared in the 60"s when the 15 storey tower of flats were built immediately to the south on Ingleborough Street. The clients came to us as their flat roof needed replacing which seemed like a good opportunity to give the building a new roof but to also include another storey.
